We finally got to collect our school graduation certificates!!!
I have a special errand 2dae -- to help val collect her grad cert. So there i was..woke up early in the morn, had to took a cab fr yishun to rush to meet val at punggol plaza. She quite blur lor, 4got to bring authorization letter...but luckily i brought. (Wah, i still need to help a think of plan B..lol)
And..she had to give me her most valuable asset...Stop thinkin dirty my oh my..it's juz her pink IC.
I think i really didn't see her for a long time, or maybe it's the other way round..coz she didn't recognize me immediately (though i owaes wear the same clothes!=x). She was carrying her usual bag and a lab top. Then she rushed to buy lunch b4 giving me the authorization letter and her ic. Sibei kancheong leh...and alot of things to carry too. Oops.
We parted soon after..and i rushed to marina square to meet my platoon mates. In the end, only me, yue ling, kenneth, joshua, yong wei, koon ann, hwee hou, frank, ivan, ming zhao, jonathan and patrick & his gal turned up. Not bad for my 1st platoon outing..lol.
I had venison and crayfish, then a brownie and ice-cream at jack's place. I juz wanted to try sth different..the deer meat was good, so was the crayfish. The cost was abit ex la..but it's good to eat luxuriously when u're outside bmtc.
Then we walked ard marina sq for awhile b4 i left for sch. I reached there at ard 4pm..and saw no one i knew..aha. Except for the library auntie. This time, instead of scolding me (i was once scolded coz i talked too loud with my classmates in the library), she was very nice..or in fact, i was at my best behaviour. I asked for the collection of sch grad cert for myself and val. The auntie kept teasing me i'm collecting for my galfren, thou i insist she's only a fren. Haiz...i dun wanna tok too much abt my ambiguous relationship wif val.
On the way to meet zihao and co at sam's hse, i sneaked a peek into val's sch grad cert bk. I realised that she was really smart and talented after reading her testimonial, personal qualities and cca. It was a far cry of how i 1st got to know her and my impression of her. I suddenly realise maybe it's good after all that we remain juz frenz..i tink she was too good for me. Sorry abt the inferiority complex..but i dun tink i can accept someone smarter and more talented than me. Or maybe i shld work 2wards gettin smarter and more talented.
But does that mean i muz work backwards..to how i was lyk in pri sch? Not really, things are diff now. Eh..but i tink..juz feel that..a very deep voice in my heart still tells me...that i still lyk her. But all these may change after she got into uni..so..i'm alrdy mentally prepared. Maybe we'll still be frenz. Maybe she'll 4get me..
Newei, after i reached sam's condo at hume park, i realise i 4got which floor she lived. I didn't even noe which blk she lived and my phone batt is flat=xxx
Double terror!! Am i gg to get trapped here till nite?
I cld only depend on my faint memories of my last visit to her hse. Thru a carpark, turn right into a blk. Then the life stunned me. Which floor was it? I duno..so i took to lvl 5. Then i turn rite..and saw..nth. No units with xtra shoes. I'm dumbfounded. Cldn't stay too long in the lvl..in case i got caught on security cam. So i walked down the stairs and set b/w 4th and 5th lvl. I really dunno wat to do..juz sit there trying to revive my hp batt, but to no avail.
So i looked out of the building..trying to tink of anything tt cld revive my memories of her unit. And presto! I rmb that her hse is beside the tennis court. So it means she probably lived on the 2nd floor.(coz u can see the tennis court in her bedrm)
But which blk's 2nd floor? I walked down thinkin that i may have to do a carpet search on all the buildings ard to locate sam's hse.
What a relief! When i reach the 2nd floor on tt blk, i heard lotsa noises. And alot of shoes outside this unit. And some familiar faces in the hse.
"Is this samantha's house?" I cried twice when no one replied. Then this weird guy told me no. So i confirmed this is it. After i entered the hse, i saw sam, fiona tay, angela, peilin ard a mahjong table and zihao, huijing, keesok and sam's dad ard another one. Almost after i sat down, peilin and angela left. I played one round after i took over sam's dad and won. Then they had a break and i tok to zh abt all the stuff in army and crap.
Then zh and ftay left. Leaving me alone wif the 3 gals. While dinner is being prepared, me, sam, hui and ks played 2 sets of rounds of mahjong b4 we stopped for dinner. Then i looked ard at the collection of alcohols, decorative items, food, vcds and read abit of "san guo yan yi"(romance of the 3 kds) b4 i ate. We continued and finished the last 2 sets..with me eventually turning out to be the ultimate winner by winning 95 more worth of chips. Not bad for my 1st mahjong play after i got enlisted. To tell the truth, i realize i can concentrate damn well for the game tt day.
Then i rushed all the way home, taking bus to kranji b4 switching back to mrt. I reach home b4 10.25pm and called val immediately. She said she'll call me after she finished work. I packed all the chem notes 2gether and realized i lost my chem bonding 2 notes. Then she called to ask me abt the route..i guided her all the way to sembawang close, outside broadway and 334A.
I brought all the stuff, including her grad cert bk, college annual, ic and chem notes down with my sweaty self. This proves to be a short meeting as well, typical of our meetings after i got enlisted. Coz her dad is nearby, so i didn't sae much to her. B4 we departed, i noticed her hair has grown even longer than b4, this time reaching her hips. Oh well..i guess maybe these short meetings are good..it made me sorta..miss her more. It oso reminded me of the new song by Eason Chan.."Long Time No See" (hao3 jiu3 bu4 jian4).
Hope tt nxt tym when i see her..it'd be abit longer..thou juz seeing her and saying hi is enuf to me.
